Great hearts

Last night we had a benefit dinner for Kristen and Andrew Cox and their daughter, Angelina. Kristen is our Northeast Manager in operations and Angelina was diagnosed with a terminal disease that is incurable.

We helped a benefit along with raffles to help raise money to help Kristen and Andrew with their medical bills, so last night people all came together for all parts of their lives to show their support.
It was heartwarming.

They raised over $15,000.

Andrew spoke a few words in the middle of the night to thank everybody and all though he kept saying that he was not good at giving speeches he spoke from the heart and because of that he touched ours.
He said that the fund raiser may be a way for us to help but it was so much more for him and Kristen, he said when they first heard the news from the doctors they felt alone and isolated. Looking around that room the love and support that they felt was overwhelming.
He went on to say that their were people their that knew and supported Kristen and some that knew and worked with himself but that everyone had something in common, he said if you look to the left and right and of you the one thing in common is you all have great hearts.

Here is a man and woman going through a live alliterating event in their lives, one not one of us could really relate to and yet he was gracious and thanking us.

There is so much to take from this night, we all go through tragedies in our lives and in the end it is still the love and support that we get from each other that gets us through.

It was good to see that especially in today's world of fighting and politics that in the end we can come together.

Our hearts go out to Kristen and Andrew and their entire family. All though Angelina will only be with us for a short time she has touched hundreds of lives. As they say she was named ANGELina for a reason.
Great hearts
