The Bus

I hear it all the time... People throwing other people under the bus.
Why?
Does it help the situation?
Do people do it to shine the light away from them?
For whatever reason it makes no sense and solves nothing.

Throwing others under the bus does the opposite, it makes you look weak and not in control.
And it gains you the reputation of being "that guy".
After all you cannot really trust those that will throw you down when times get tough.

And customers in particular do not care who is to blame. They just want results.
Once you start deflecting blame it makes your company look inefficient and weak and therefore it makes you look inefficient and weak.
You may think that by pointing the blame elsewhere that makes you look better but that is far from correct.
I hear it all the time.." I would of done it this way" or " I never would have done that" ... Why?
What possible benefit do you think there is in showing the customer somebody else's ineffencies?

At the end of the day we should ALL want the same thing... To do a good job and satisfy the customer.
The customer should always feel like you AND your company is in control and that you care.

STOP backing up the BUS !

Work the problem people.
