Tom Brady said one of his coaches once told him when I can look into your eyes and see that you want the same thing that I want I will know we have something.
I can say the same about running a department or a business, when you can see in the eyes of your team, your employees , and see they have the same goals then you know you are on the right track.
The goal of a boss is to try to instill that same drive in your employees, to have them believe in you and know that what they do - matters. They need to know that they are part of the bigger picture and they are not just a spoke on wheel but that they are important to not only the process but to the people around them.
Getting buy in is what makes the New England Patriots special, each player on that team knows that they are needed and they absolutely make a difference. Everybody not only knows their job but they know the other guys job. The biggest thing you also see is there is no egos, they all respect the other guy and they know they are all only as good as the team.
Building a team atmosphere is crucial in your work and actually it is your most rewarding goal that is will ever have in your life. Making a difference in somebody else’s life is what we are here for and each and every one of you have that power. All you have to do is - care.
When you can look into the eyes of the people around you and truly see them - you will begin to see.

I read this 3 times, good stuff !
I worked with a team of 5 the other day, 4 men and 1 lady packer. Their name is Sergio Rios Crew from Atlanta GA. They are the poster child of this post. At any given time, in any area of the job you could walk in and see them work together, never 1 person by themselves. Fantastic workers whom through out the day silently worked together as one. As smooth as water running down stream...
Honor and integrity second to none and always smiling, each of them always smiling. I was fortunate to be part of it...
And as the coach said to Tom Brady, this guy says ' the eyes never lie
Great post, I actually feel like I am part of this post because I lived it the other day...
