Take responsibility... own it.
What separates a elite employee or worker from the rest ?
They own it... they do not think of excuses, they think of solutions.
There will always be situations that arise because someone messed up and will now effect what you need to do... just do it. You will have time to address the process later but in the moment do not blame other people just take it on and for goodness sake do not let others know that others messsed up and you are now the hero, that is not being a team player and remember one day you may be the person who messes up.
The customer does not care WHO messed up they just want it right.
Be polite, access the situation and if you do not have the immediate answer do not pass them or bull shit, get back to them with the answer... own it.
