A-S-S-U-M-E

This one word is the cause of more problems in operations and in most businesses.....A-S-S-U-M-E.

In order to prevent a problem you can ASSUME anything.

Repeat yourself if need be but cover all the bases.

Look at it from every angle and gather as much information as possible. Do not leave one stone unturned.
Put your self in the other person's shoes and ask what would you need.

Over prepare, ask questions...and LISTEN !

Does the person you are speaking to sound concerned or nervous or unsure of themselves. If so stay in the circle and help them prepare so that you and they feel comfortable.

Once you ASSUME that the person you are speaking to knows something you leave yourself open for a problem. Stay ahead of it.

One of our best agents, who consistently does quality work is Studdard Moving out of Leavenworth Kansas.
They take on the philosophy of their founder, Charles Campbell, who never assumed anything.
Charles would go over every detail with every packer, laborer or driver until he was assured that he had done his very best to prepare that person to succeed. Even if that person had worked for him for decades he NEVER assumed anything. He was repetitive and relentless in HIS efforts.

DO NOT EVER ASSUME........Building a quality reputation is always a work in progress.
